Finished Basement Project - Reading Nook
Finished Basement Project

This home was built in the early 2000s with a traditional layout. These homeowners wanted to create a solution for their closed off kitchen and broken up living space. We made a lot of structural changes while adding a rear addition. In doing so, it turned the dark and small kitchen into a bright and inviting space. We loved the finishes these clients picked. Light and Bright! Along with the custom kitchen, we created a designated entertaining space with an area where this client could store wine and drinks. We loved how it turned out with a pop of wallpaper behind the cabinet!

Along with the new kitchen, we also provided a much more functional butler’s pantry, mudroom and pool room.

In addition, the entire backyard was totally transformed. We partnered with a local pool builder to create a true oasis. Along with the pool, there is now a covered area with a custom fireplace allowing our clients to use this space for more than just one season. Right off the outdoor living area, we then renovated their existing outdoor kitchen to create more functional space. If that wasn’t enough, while all the interior renovation and outdoor work was being done, we wrapped up the project with a complete exterior redesign of the home. We added architectural details and replaced all the siding, windows and roof.

This home exemplifies the idea of a modern farmhouse renovation.
