A family of six dreamed of moving closer to relatives
while enjoying the privacy of a larger lot. After acquiring
land in Chester County, they partnered with Windle
Design & Construction to bring their vision of a traditional
yet modern family home to life.
Client's Challenge
The clients envisioned a home that captured the timeless
character of Chester County, with timeless details and an
abundance of natural light. However, building during the
height of the COVID-19 pandemic posed challenges, from
supply chain shortages to financial pressures, requiring
flexibility and creative problem-solving.
Our Solution
Working closely with the family, we designed and built a custom home that blended traditional craftsmanship with modern functionality.
Key features include:
- Chester County-inspired architecture with fieldstone accents for timeless curb appeal.
- Expansive windows throughout the home to create a light-filled, welcoming atmosphere.
- An open kitchen featuring custom cabinetry, quartz tops & counter splash, complemented by a spacious butler’s pantry providing abundant storage.
- A stunning great room with vaulted ceilings and a stucco fireplace as the centerpiece.
- A luxurious primary bathroom featuring a soaking tub, a seven-fixture walk-in shower with floor-to-ceiling tile, and custom double vanities for comfort and convenience.
- Five bedrooms with an ensuite on the second floor plus a bonus room above the three-car garage, providing ample space
for a growing family.
Despite supply shortages, we preserved the home’s character and ensured every finish supported the design vision.
